How I Work

On this page, I’ll share with you my guiding beliefs and approach to working with clients.

Guiding Beliefs

There is no “one size fits all” approach to nutrition.  Although each one of us needs carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water for our bodies to function, how we fuel our unique body with those nutrients is very different for each of us.  YOU have a unique immune system and food preferences, both affect how you should plan your meals.

Food is meant to be enjoyed.  Taking the enjoyment out of food diminishes the quality of life, and leads to short-term results.

“Diet” is a naughty word.  A lifestyle approach is the best way to facilitate success long term.  You will find success when you learn to build healthy habits, pick yourself up when you fall (and we ALL fall), and keep moving forward.  Wellness is a journey—not a destination.

“I can’t.  I shouldn’t. I’m not--blank--enough” I won’t” are self-deprecating remarks.  You gain confidence when you learn how to love your unique body, fuel it smart, and take and make opportunities to be fit.

My Approach

LEAP/MRT: The Mediator Release blood test assesses the immune system's response to 20 different chemicals and 150 different foods.  The Dietitian creates a meal plan based on those results to "calm" the immune system for 10 days, then reintroduce foods to build a lifestyle program that reduces symptoms of IBS, migraine, fibromyalgia, and more!

The MRT/LEAP 30 day program includes:

MRT blood draw

30-day nutrition program:

Weekly accountability

2-1:1 Nutrition Sessions

2-Nutrition Assessments

Testimonial:

"I am so happy with the results I have seen with MRT/LEAP.  For almost 30 years I haven't been able to put my finger on exactly what was causing my IBS.  Finally I know what foods make me feel energized and healthy.  I am in control of how I feel by knowing which foods my body likes/doesn't like."  CN

Workout programming—each workout program is completed AT HOME 4-5 days a week working out for 20-30 minutes a day (more for ½ and full marathon training).  That is 4% of your day!  YOU CAN DO IT!  Together, we will review your goals and SCHEDULE your workouts into your lifestyle.  Proper nutrition + exercise = success!

The advanced level program offers daily accountability, nutrition and fitness tips and tricks, motivation, and a 1:1 with the Dietitian to get your nutrition in check!

Testimonials:

"I bookmarked Marian's Facebook page so that I can add her video workouts in with my daily yoga practice.  [The workouts] take so little time and the results make me feel fantastic!"  LS

"This is the first time in my life I've consistently strength trained and enjoyed it!  The daily check-ins keep me on point."
